Introducing the TS-0563-1002 eSG40 Electronic StraightGate Black – the smallest butterfly-style external wastegate designed for tight engine bay confines. The eSG40 is a zero-offset butterfly-style wastegate that delivers enormous flow and almost linear control, offering unparalleled boost control throughout the entire operating range.

Turbosmart’s eSG40 Electronic StraightGate is Patent Pending and builds on the success of the Multiple Award-Winning, World-First eSG50 Electronically Actuated Butterfly-Style External Wastegate. With no reference hoses, springs, or diaphragms, it provides full electronic control through a servo motor and Turbosmart’s zero-backdrive gearbox. This design reduces current demands and ensures operational stability even against high drive pressures. The Electronic StraightGate40 includes onboard sensors for actuator temperature and valve position in both analog and digital formats. Electronic actuation allows for the widest possible tuning window, from zero boost (if manifold priority allows) to all available boost.

The Turbosmart StraightGate40 is a ground-up design that sets a new standard in control and flow, unmatched by any wastegate before it. Its zero-offset butterfly valve is equally exposed to exhaust drive pressure on both valve halves, resulting in a self-balanced valve that can actuate against even the highest drive pressures with ease. This self-balancing design widens the tuning window, regardless of how the valve is actuated. Increased flow is achieved through the efficiency of a straight-through valve compared to traditional poppet-style valves that require the exhaust gas to make a 90-degree turn.
